Start a new Atlas conversation

Atlas Verified Help Center article about Start a new Atlas conversation.

Overview

An Atlas conversation is where you ask Atlas to help with trade, supplier, shipment, document, and compliance questions. A new conversation gives you a clean workspace for one topic, so the answer is not mixed with an unrelated investigation.

Use a new conversation when you are starting a fresh research question, working with a different supplier or shipment, or preparing a thread you may later share or export. Use an existing conversation when you want Atlas to remember the context from earlier messages in the same investigation.

Atlas can answer general questions, summarize records, review uploaded documents, suggest follow-up prompts, and open linked records when a result points back to your workspace. The more specific your first message is, the more useful the thread will be.

How to start a new conversation

  1. Sign in to Atlas Verified.

  2. Open the Atlas chat column on the dashboard or open Chat History from Intelligence.

  3. Choose New if you are in Chat History, or place your cursor in the empty chat composer.

  4. Type the question or task you want Atlas to help with.

  5. Send the message and wait for Atlas to finish responding before starting the next step.

Good first messages

  • "Review this supplier and tell me what evidence I should collect before approval."

  • "Summarize the latest documents for this shipment and call out missing information."

  • "Help me compare these trade lane risks and give me a short decision summary."

What happens next

Atlas saves the conversation so you can return to it later. If the answer references a shipment, supplier, document, report, or generated result, use the linked record to continue the workflow in the main workspace.

Tips

  • Start a new conversation for a new business question.

  • Keep related documents or records open if the question depends on specific evidence.

  • Ask a follow-up in the same thread when you want Atlas to build on the previous answer.
