Summary
Create a shipment (trade trace) to group documents, verification checks, inventory, and activity for a single trade lane or movement.
Before you begin
Sign in at app.atlasverified.ai.
Your plan must allow Create shipment. If you see an upgrade overlay, see Understanding paywalls (BC-011).
Steps
Open the dashboard.
Use one of these paths:
- Sidebar create menu (chevron) → Add Shipment
- Dashboard quick action Add Shipment
- Shipments panel → Create (green button)
In the dialog, enter Title (required). Optionally add reference number, origin, destination, commodity, or B/L number.
Click Create (green button).
The shipment detail panel opens automatically:

Expected result
The shipment appears under the Active tab.
Status shows as active. You can open Documents, Verification, and Inventory tabs on the detail panel.
Tips
From a document, use Add to shipment to create a shipment and link the file in one flow (SH-011).
Ask Atlas: *"Create a shipment titled Pacific Organic Q1 with reference PO-4421"* (TD-003).
Common issues
Upgrade prompt — Your plan may limit shipment creation. See SH-014 and BC-011.
Panel did not open — Open Shipments and click the new row, or use the URL with your shipment ID.
