Summary

Atlas can use Web search when a user asks a clear question about an entity, document, shipment, supplier, or trade lane. The tool result is meant to support a decision: verify a fact, narrow a risk, open a related record, or decide what evidence to collect next.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the dashboard Atlas chat surface from Atlas chat for web and deep research tools.

  2. Start or resume a conversation (CH-001).

  3. Send a clear request, for example:

Web search: describe your entity, document, or ID in the first message.

  1. Review Atlas's reply, citations, and any record cards.

  2. Open linked shipments or suppliers from the response when offered.

Expected result

Atlas returns an answer with tool citations relevant to Web search in Atlas (Tavily), and you can act on linked records.

Tips

  • Ask follow-up questions in the same thread to narrow results.

  • Keep the related shipment, supplier, document, or organization open while you work.
