Summary
When a document stays in processing, wait, retry, or re-upload depending on file size and where it was attached.
Before you begin
Document ID or filename visible in Documents or chat attachment list.
Steps
Open the document row or chat attachment and read the status badge (queued, processing, failed, ready).
For large PDFs, wait up to 10 minutes before assuming failure.
On failed chat attachments, use Retry if the button is shown (DC-003).
Try a smaller export or split multi-hundred-page PDFs.
Re-upload with a clear filename if retry does not recover.
Expected result
Status moves to ready and extracted fields appear in document detail.
Tips
Chat waits for processing when auto-continue is enabled (DC-006).
Classification overrides may require re-processing (DO-003).
Common issues
Scanned image PDF — OCR may take longer; ensure readable resolution.
Encrypted PDF — Remove password protection before upload.
