Chat not responding or streaming errors

Summary

Fix chat streaming errors or unresponsive Atlas messages before escalating to support.

Before you begin

  • Note the conversation ID from the URL or chat header for support.

Steps

  1. Refresh the browser tab and send a shorter test message.

  2. Confirm your plan allows messages (CH-012, BC-011) and you have tokens (BC-001).

  3. If you attached documents, wait until processing completes (TS-002, DC-002).

  4. Start a new conversation to rule out a corrupted thread.

  5. If it persists, contact Atlas Agent (GS-010) with conversation ID and timestamp (TS-012).

Expected result

Messages stream normally again or you have IDs for support to investigate.

Tips

  • Disable browser extensions that block websockets or third-party scripts.

  • VPNs may interrupt long streams β€” retry on a stable network.

Common issues

  • Only one conversation fails β€” Export important content (CH-008) then archive and start new.

  • All users in org affected β€” Status incident; contact support with org name.
